Brit Hotel Confort Alexia - La Souterraine

We booked a standard king room with a lovely bathroom and liked it. the location was perfect - close enough to further south of France. - the hotel is located near a Chinese restaurant and a restaurant with a reasonable buffet selection for France.

Please improve your direction to the Hotel. In particular the post code given on the web is for the centre of town and if you follow that you end up in a maze of small one way streets, which is more than a mile from the Hotel. I wasted nearly an hour trying to find the Hotel at the end of a long day.

Liked decent size and well-kept rooms.

it was a brilliant base for a wedding ceremony, had relaxing time. the location was unbeatable and marvellous for exploring la souterraine. the restaurant was great and served excellent food. i think the hotel was pleasant, can't wait to come back.

We stayed at this hidden gem on the outskirts of town. the staff were very welcoming and helpful, making an extra effort to speak English and help us understand the French menu at the restaurant. the room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. the bathroom had a good shower and was well maintained. the breakfast buffet had a reasonable selection for France. We were pleased with the wifi and pool facilities available.

The hotel doesn't provide coffee or tea making facilities in the room, and no mini fridge.

Our room was great, with improved wifi and a lovely bathroom, including shower facilities, a hair dryer, and bath sheets.

The hotel's value for money is outstanding - we were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices for our stay. The attention to detail, particularly in the restaurant, was impressive. The buffet selection offered a good variety and the staff was attentive to our needs. Additionally, the location on the outskirts of town provided a peaceful atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center.

The hotel is very clean (obviously very new!) and the service is excellent. The restaurant has a good range of meals and the quality if the food is excellent.

Although it was very convenient and easy to find close to the main road, the location on an uncompleted industrial zone was rather bleak. Also only one towel was provided in a room booked for two people.

Excellent hotel for an overnight whilst travelling up or down through France. Front desk efficient and speedy. Lift and parking very welcomed.

The place had a contemporary atmosphere. Location: the hotel was really close to the restaurant. Plus it was max 15 mins walk to the lake.

Celebrated New Year's Eve here and had an amazing experience! the rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. Loved the restaurant's food and great service. the location was key, easy access to main routes and close to many different things to do. Enjoyed the free wifi and how accommodating and friendly the staff were. A great stay overall!

If I had to pick one negative aspect, it would be the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room. It would have been nice to have those early mornings when we wanted to relax in the room a bit longer.

This hotel is excellent for a stop-over when you travel to the South of France: not at the side of the peage, but only a few kilometers into the countryside. Huge parking lot, very friendly staff, restaurant, very comfortable room (bed sleeps very well), rooms are sound-proof.

This hotel is quite new. From that point of view it's a pity that in the bathroom already two things need repairing. One of them is that the shower head could not be hung up (device on the wall was broken). If you want to take a shower, you have to hold up the shower head yourself. The other one was a (mild) leakage through a ceiling board that had already been replaced, which means it wasn't the first time.
